WINTER FARMERS’ MARKET

Open November 1st – April 25th

 

EVERY SATURDAY 9:00 - Noon

Don't forgot to shop Farmer's Market for the Holidays.  We have lots of vendors with fresh foods and unique gifts perfect for holiday gift giving. 

 

New this Year: Market Bucks

We will be selling gift certificates to the market.  They are $5 each and come decorated for gift giving.  Check them out this Saturday. . .

 

A local committee of volunteers working in conjunction with Four Mounds Foundation has put together a Winter Farmers’ Market every Saturday from November 1st to April 25th.  The market will be open every Saturday from 9:00 am – Noon at the Colt’s Center at 1101 Central Avenue (corner of 11th & Central Streets). Parking is available in the lot along Central Avenue and street parking is available on Iowa Street, Central Avenue, as well as other downtown streets.

 

The Colts will be serving breakfast every Saturday at market.  Plan to make a morning of it and enjoy the music, company, and venue.

Support the Farmers’ Market and make a difference to our local economy and food quality.  Check out the weekly surprises and enjoy the local venue and community. 

 

We have a new variety of vendors including the following:

Allgyer Farm – Homemade potato chips, Amish egg noodles, and baked goods 

Ambleside Farm – Handmade gourmet pasta, Iowa Grape Vines juice, fresh produce

B& K Meats - Bratwurst, sausage, summer sausage, cottage bacon

Billee’s – Craft stand including microwave potato bags, rice bags, soap, and more

Bluebell Orchard – Apples and apple cider

Carol Steckel – Lots of fall produce into the early winter months, free range eggs, dried herbs

CS Art Glass – Hand blown glass products including jewelry, ornaments, vases, and more 

Double L Vineyard – Local varieties all grown and bottled in Holy Cross

Early Risers Farm – Meats, cheeses, including cheese curds, eggs, produce, and herbs

Galena Baskets – Gourmet garlic varieties and homemade dip mixes and seasonings

Garden Room Garden Shop – Evergreen & grapevine wreaths, heirloom produce & baked goods.

Gramp’s Pickles – Gourmet varieties of pickles and apple pie in a jar

Hammerand Farm – Certified organic chickens and eggs

Johnson Honey Farm – Iowa honey products and maple syrup

Josa’s Country Store – Gourmet baked goods and pre-made soups

Kathy’s Krystals – Handmade crystal jewelry

Key City Candles – All natural Soy container candles and wax dipped gifts

Kruse Farm – Fall produce items, dried herbs and fruits, plus crocheted items

Laura Gray – Pies, coffee cakes, and scones   

Marc Millitzer Glass – Hand blown glass products and organic produce & sprouted grains

Michelle Kintzer – Breads, bagels, jams, homemade candies and cookies

Mr. A Hydro – Hydro watercress and organically grown produce

Paul Opperman – Knife and scissor sharpening

Porkhouse LLC / Black Angus Acres – Organically farmed pork, chicken, and beef

Red Country Cupboard – Goat’s milk bath products, including lotions, soaps, and more

Rock Ridge Market – Varieties of fall produce, holiday cookie platters, and woodworking.

Stillmunkes Produce – Kettle Korn and fresh produce

Sue’s Essentials – Homemade soap varieties including hair care and gluten free breads

Wide River Winery – Serves specialty wines from organically grown grapes

 

This program helps to fulfill the City of Dubuque ’s green initiative pledge of spending $10 a week on local produce and meats.
