Green Vision

 

Green Vision Education Program

Caring about the environment can be fun and educational. Most of all, it means protecting our valuable natural resources. The Green Vision Education Program recognizes schools that practice pollution prevention, recycling, energy efficiency and waste reduction.

Green Vision Schools receive a Green Vision Education flag to hang outside and a banner to display inside the building. Current Green Vision Education Schools and the awards they have received are:

  • John Marshall Elementary School, Green Flag award in spring of 2006, Conservation Award in 2007 and Watershed Awareness Award in 2008.
  • George Washington Middle School, Green Flag award in spring of 2006 and Durrant award in 2007.
  • Resurrection Catholic Elementary School Green Flag award in 2007, Conservation Award in 2008 and Watershed award in 2009.
  • Table Mound Elementary School Green Flag award in 2007, Conservation Award in 2008, and Durrant award in 2009.
  • Abraham Lincoln Elementary School Green Flag award in 2008 and progress toward Litter Free School award in 2009.
  • St. Columbkille Catholic Elementary School Green Flag award in 2008, and Conservation award in 2009.
  • Dubuque Montessori School Green Flag award in September, 2008.

There are two ways to sign up for Alliant Energy's Second Nature Program

 

You may contact Green Dubuque through email:

  1. Inform us whether it is for a household or business. 
  2. Include your home address so we may send you a Second Nature Brochure and your free CFL's.
  3. Inform us what percentage you intend to sign up for (25%, 50%, or 100%).


You may also sign up at www.alliantenergy.com:

  1. You will need to set up or use your existing online account.
  2. Remember to contact Green Dubuque so we may send you your free CFL's .

 

Signing up for Renewable Energy is fast and easy!

 

Simply contact Green Dubuque through email:

  1. Include your home address so we may send you a Watts Green Brochure and your free CFL's.
  2. Inform us how many kWhs you intend to sign up for (blocks of 50 kWhs @ $1 a block per month).
